Artist Statement:

This piece is a celebration of the history of children’s literature. I wanted to depict the joy reading can bring with bright and bold characters reading their own stories lying across the lawn of the LA Public Library. There are so many classic tales dating back decades and I wanted to represent all coexisting in one piece. In a world today that is driven by technology, it’s important we keep these books alive for generations to come.
