Artist Statement: In this piece I was inspired by the art deco design and elements in the architecture, especially the different levels of the building and how the sun plays off each of them. I dropped the modern skyline and added an era-specific airplane that could be found at the time the library was completed.
Artist Bio: Steve has been creating graphics and illustrations for nearly a quarter of a century, with a focus on poster and print design. His award-winning style is heavily influenced by the timeless beauty of advertising and marketing art from the early 20th Century.
He’s had the opportunity to work with licensed properties such as Lucasfilm, Disney, and 20th Century Fox. Other clients include ClifBar, Camelbak, Garmin, Virgin Atlantic and Penguin Books.
