Benfica: Campeões da Europa
Com a conquista da Taça dos Clubes Campeões Europeus de 1960/61, frente ao Barcelona, o Benfica afirmou-se como uma potência da Europa do futebol. Na época seguinte, a equipa “encarnada” sagrou-se bicampeã europeia, ao vencer na final o Real Madrid, por 5-3, em Amesterdão, consolidando o seu estatuto. O resultado estava empatado a três bolas, quando Eusébio bisou e maravilhou os adeptos.

By winning the European Champions Clubs’ Cup in 1960/61 against Barcelona, Benfica established itself as a European football superpower. The following season, the team became two-time European champions, beating Real Madrid 5-3 in the final in Amsterdam, reinforcing their status. The score was tied at three goals a piece when Eusébio scored a brace to amaze every fan.
