S.L. Benfica’s Eagle

Since its foundation, the emblem has been topped by an eagle with spread wings, symbolising the Club’s high aspirations: independence, authority, and nobility. And in its talons, the banner with the motto E Pluribus Unum emphasises unity among all the members. The flight of the Vitória eagle, which takes place at the Estádio da Luz at every home match, is eagerly awaited by everyone and dazzles children and adults, Benfica fans and opponents alike.
